Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the early morning hours of January 30, 2019  Deputies of the Fremont County Sheriff's Office
arrested 36 year old Jeffrey Sidney of Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Jeffrey Sidney was westbound coming around the bypass in Sidney,
Ia when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle and wrecked landing in the front lawn of the Fremont County Law Enforcement
Center. Deputies made contact with Jeffrey who was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

At that time Deputies walked Mr. Sidney from the front lawn into the jail where he is being held on $1,600.00 bond.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that a traffic stop on Maple street in Sidney leads to the arrest of two Glenwood residents.
On January 23, 2019 at approximately 7:20 pm Deputies with the Fremont County Sheriff's Office and the K9-unit conducted a traffic
stop in the 2000 block of Maple Street in Sidney. During the course of the stop, Deputies located 1/4 pound of marijuana in the vehicle
and numerous pieces of paraphernalia. Logan Christopher Harding, 18, and Chelsey Marie Spiegelberg, 20, both of Glenwood, IA
were arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

Both subjects were transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center being held on $10,000.00 bond.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that, around 9:00 pm on January 21, 2019, the Fremont County K9 unit stopped a vehicle driven by 18
year old Hunter Bickle of Nebraska City NE for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop deputies found Bickle trying to conceal
a controlled substance. Bickle was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense and transported to the Fremont
County Law Enforcement center.

Bickle is currently on probation for the same charge. Bickle's bond was set at $1,000.00.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports an arrest on January 19, 2019.  The Fremont County K9 unit was looking for a subject with a warrant.

While looking for that subject Deputies came across 48 year old Ellie Mae Warren of Hamburg, IA. When deputies came across
Warren she was attempting to use methamphetamine in front of deputies. Deputies then conducted a search of Warren and located
methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Warren was arrested and transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center being charged with Possession of
methamphetamine 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. Warren's bond was set at $2,300.00.

On January 17, 2019 at approximately 2042 hrs, deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Tabor
Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation in Tabor.


Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a 2006 Cadillac SRX at the intersection of Jackson Blvd and Franklin Street, less than 1000 feet from the
Fremont-Mills School.

 

During the investigation, the driver, MANDA WATSON, age 38, of Papillion, Ne and the passenger, ANGELA BROOKS, age 39 of Omaha, Ne
were found to be in possession of over 25 grams of methamphetamine.


BROOKS and WATSON were arrested for Conspiracy to Deliver Over 5 Grams of Meth a Class B Felony.  Both being held at the
Fremont County Jail without bond, pending initial appearance with a Magistrate

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that last night around 9:30pm deputies arrested 26 year old Spencer Wesley Ham of Bellevue NE.

Ham was taken into custody after deputies conducted an investigation into the delivery of Morphine and other prescription medication.
Ham was found to be in possession of numerous morphine and hydromorphone pills. Ham was transported to the Fremont County Law
Enforcement Center where he is being charged with two counts of unlawful possession of prescription medication and two counts of
failure to affix tax stamp.

Ham is currently being held on a $12,000.00 cash bond.

On January 7, 2019, at approximately 1240 hours, deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and Mills County
K9 Unit, were conducting a narcotics investigation in Tabor when deputies attempted to stop a Maroon Chevy Tahoe near the intersection
of Hillcrest Drive and Highway 275 in Tabor.  The vehicle failed to yield and fled from deputies northbound into Mills County. Near the intersection
of Highway 275 and Krutzinger Avenue, the vehicle entered the yard of a residence and continued west into a field.  A passenger attempted to
flee from the moving vehicle and was quickly arrested.  The vehicle continued west, and law enforcement used vehicle intervention to bring
the vehicle to a stop.  All occupants were arrested without further incident.

Deputies recovered approximately 1/4 lb. of methamphetamine and the vehicle was found to be stolen out of La Vista, Nebraska. 

Brandon Sutton age 42 of Tabor, William Estelle, age 43 of La Vista, Nebraska, Martin Fender, age 33 of La Vista, and Faith Stapleton,
age 19 of Red Oak, Iowa were all placed under arrest at the scene.

 

They are being held of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine over 5g under 5kg, and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the evening of January 3, 2019 the Fremont County K9 unit conducted a narcotics investigation into
 the delivery of methamphetamine in Tabor, IA.

As a result of the investigation 27 year old Matthew Whitt of Essex, IA and 25 year old Tra Perry of Corning, IA. Both subjects were
arrested for the Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to deliver (Class "B" Felony) after deputies located Methamphetamine,
packaging equipment and scales.

Whitt and Perry were transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center, both are being held on a $25,000.00 bond each.

progress at a residence in Sidney, Iowa.

 

Deputies arrested Daniel Jay Lewis, age 47 of Sidney, for Domestic Abuse 2nd Offense, Simple Assault, 2 counts of Harassment 1st
Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, and Interference with Official Acts.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the late night hours of December 28, 2018 the Fremont County K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in
Randolph with 46 year old Bret Samuelson of Randolph, Iowa. Samuelson was operating a motor vehicle with a barred license. During
the course of the stop Samuelson was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Samuelson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center with charges of
Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving while license is Barred.

Samuelson's bond was set at $4,300.00, as he awaits his initial appearance.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that early this morning, December 26. 2018,  the Fremont County Sheriff's Office received a report of theft from
the Pilot Travel Center. Upon deputies arrival the subjects had fled the scene and left the car they were operating on the side of the road after
striking something and making the vehicle inoperable. A short time later Deputies located the 3 subjects, two of whom were juveniles.

During the investigation 18 year old Cameron Peters of Lincoln, NE was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug
paraphernalia.

All 3 were transported to the Law Enforcement center where Peters is being held on a $1,300.00 bond.
The other two juveniles were citied into court and released to guardians.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on Christmas night the Fremont County Sheriff's Office received a report of a female that was possibly
soliciting customers by the truck stops on Highway 2.

A short time later an undercover Deputy made contact with the female identified as 27 year old Latara Johnson of Omaha,NE. During the
encounter with the Deputy,  Johnson showed the deputy that she was in possession of controlled substances and Drug paraphernalia.
At that time Johnson was taken into custody without further incident.

Johnson was transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center charged with Possession of a controlled substance and 
Drug Paraphernalia. Johnson is being held on a $2,300.00 bond.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the evening of December 23, 2018  the Fremont County K9 Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the
3200 block of Highway 2.

During the course of the stop two people were taken into custody for drug possession. 56 year old Scott Blackman and his wife, 55 year old
Brenda Blackman both of Sioux City, IA were found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Scott was arrested for Possession
of methamphetamine (felony), possession of marijuana 3rd or subsequent, possession of drug paraphernalia, and Driving Revoked. Brenda was
arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and marijuana.

Both parties were transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center. Scott Blackman's bond was placed at $7,866.25 while Brenda's
was placed at $2,000.00.

On December 23, 2018, deputies with the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible intoxicated driver northbound on Interstate 29
near the Iowa/Missouri line.  Deputies observed the vehicle driving erratically near the intersection of Hwy 2 and Interstate 29 in Percival, Iowa.

 

The driver, Jose Garcia, age 44 of Omaha, Nebraska had a BAC of .110.  It was also determined that there was a 5-year-old passenger in the vehicle
at the time of the offense.  Garcia was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Child Endangerment, and Open Container.

 

Garcia is being held at the Fremont County Jail without bond, pending initial appearance with the magistrate.

During the course of the stop 36 year old Robert Jerrod Castleman of Pocahontas, AR was placed under arrest. Castleman was found to be in

On 11/09/2018 at approximately 0240hrs, deputies with the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office stopped a 2017 Chevy Coachman RV near the 4-mile marker
southbound Interstate 29 for several moving violations.

 

A Fremont County K9 was deployed and indicated and alerted to the presence of controlled substances inside the vehicle.

 

A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 300 lbs. of high grade marijuana with an approximate street value of $2,880,000.

 

Deputies arrested Richard Jordan, age 65 of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Elwood Perry, Jr, age 44 of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Patrick Hawes,
age 45 of Norfolk, Virginia.

 

All parties were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver more 100 Kilograms, a Class B Felony.  All parties are being
held at the Fremont County Jail without bond, pending an initial appearance with a Magistrate.

 

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Division of Narcotic Enforcement.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Casey Dean Freemyer Jr., age 34 of Tabor, Iowa.

 

On October 17, 2018, at approximately 0749 hrs, deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit observed Freemyer in the 700 block
of Main Street in Tabor. Freemyer had an active Fremont County warrant for his arrest for Theft 2nd, a Class D Felony.

 

In August of 2018 the Tabor Police Department received a call of a suspicious disassembled vehicle located at a residence in Tabor.
The vehicle was found to be reported stolen out of Council Bluffs, Iowa and an investigation led to a warrant being issued for Freemyer
by the Tabor Police Department.

 

Freemyer is being held on a $5,000 cash bond at the Fremont County Jail.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Alfred Mutchler, age 37 of Farragut, Iowa.

 

On October 16, 2018, deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the
intersection of Webster and Hartford Avenue in Farragut.

 

During the traffic stop, K9 Roby was deployed and alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. Mutchler was
found to have a baggie containing methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia concealed on his person.

 

Mutchler was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, (Methamphetamine) 3rd Offense or greater, a Class D Felony,
and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.

 

Mutchler is being held on $5,300 cash bond. More charges are pending.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on October 15, 2018 the Fremont County K9 Unit made an arrest of 28 year old Tyler M Study of Bartlett, IA.
Study was arrested on a valid Fremont County warrant for the delivery of methamphetamine a class B felony.

This arrest stems from multiple investigations starting in July of 2018. Study was arrested at his residence without incident and
transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center awaiting initial appearance from the magistrate.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that on the night of October 8, 2018 the Fremont County K9 Unit arrested 67 year old Michael Tiemeyer of Hamburg.

Tiemeyer was arrested on a valid Fremont County Warrant for Delivery of Methamphetamine at his residence in Hamburg.

Tiemeyer was transported to the Fremont County Law Enforcement Center to be held awaiting initial appearance with further charges pending.

The narcotics investigation is still ongoing as Aistrope expects more arrests following the investigation.
