NOTICE OF FREMONT COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION

 Notice is hereby given to qualified electors of Fremont County, Iowa, that a General Election will be held in the following polling places listed below on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. 
 An OpenElect Voting Interface (OVI), handicap accessible marking device, and an OpenElect Voting Optical (OVO), machine with paper ballots will be used in the election process. 
 Polling places will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. 

 Deadline to vote in-person at the Fremont County Auditorís Office is Monday, November 2, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Any person unable to get to the polls on November 3, 2020,
 may send a written absentee ballot request to the  Auditorís Office, P.O. Box 610, Sidney, IA, 51652. 
 Deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is October 24, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.

 Any voter who is physically unable to enter the polling place has the right to vote in the voterís vehicle at the polling place site.  For further information, please contact the County Auditorís

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CHANGE IN POLLING PLACES FOR

FOR FARRAGUT AND SIDNEY PRECINCTS IN FREMONT COUNTY 

FARRAGUT PRECINCT

 Notice is hereby given qualified electors of Farragut Precinct will vote at the Waterfalls Event Center, 907 Hartford Ave, Farragut.  Due to COVID 19, this is a temporary change from Farragut City Hall, Farragut.

SIDNEY PRECINCT

 Notice is hereby given qualified electors of Sidney Precinct will vote at the Sidney Senior Center, 2820 Northridge Rd, Sidney.  Due to COVID 19, this is a temporary change from United Faith Church, Sidney.

                                                                                                                                    VOTER ID REQUIREMENT AT THE POLLS

 
Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered Ė such
 as voters registering to vote on election day Ė and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence. A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification
 (or prove residence if required) 1) may have the voterís identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, 2) prove identity and residence using Election Day
 Registration documents, or 3) cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the County Auditorís Office by Monday, November 9, 12:00 p.m. noon. Election Day

 Testing of the OpenElect Voting Optical (OVO) machine used in the tabulation of the ballots cast in this election will take place on October 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. on the second floor of
 the courthouse.  The public is invited to attend.
